Burro press is a printing studio based in Oaxaca, Mexico. Burro, meaning donkey in Spanish, is an appropriate symbol for the ethos of this collective of printmakers, as a donkey symbolises hard work and resistance. The works made in Burro are based from a long lineage of printmaking used as a way of social and political engagement. Burris artists are Alberto Cruz, Edith Chavez, and Ivan Bautista.
