America's Nightmare Handfinished - 9 / 11
70 x 75 cm on Coventry Rag Vellum 290gsm *
Signed 1/1 painted on September 11
4 colour screenprint made in the USA with Handfinishing, this time I am painting with CANON ink (more expensive than gold). We have a new mega printer for our digital prints and the old cartridges were going to be recycled so I thought I might remove the inks and use them to draw and paint and splatter with :) I think the effects are pretty cool and damn ! the pigment is intense. Still think printer inks are a massive scam though.
*This is a new paper I am using from an amazing supplier in the US that used to supply the same paper to Keith Haring.
Screenprinted in Portland Oregon USA.
“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
This country’s potential for greatness and true genius lies in its diversity.
Nicolette does an awesome song called ‘no government’ - google it.
